Here it is! My 2022 book list. I’m slowly working my way back into this so I’m definitely excited to read my way through these. I started making a list and tried to settle on a number (you know, goals) but honestly, I just don’t want to pick a solid number yet. Not because I don’t want to fail at meeting that goal, but because I’m so new to getting back into this, I really just want to take my time. If that means I get to 10, 20 or 30…it’s all good. For now, I’m not focusing on that part.

No time, no problem.
If you’ve been around for a minute you’ve heard me say how much I love reading. The problem is, over the years it has basically been a thing of the past. Life happens, right. Priorities shift and before you know it there’s not much room for the little things that fill your cup. If you’re struggling too, here are a few things I’m implementing to help me be more successful (click each tip for details):
Daily Quiet Time
Yes, adults need this too! 30 minutes – 1 hour of daily down time at the end of the evening. Think soft music, dim lights, light a few candles, a soak in the tub. Whatever your vibe is that will help you turn off the day. Grab a great book and release yourself from the day for a few minutes.
Page or Chapter Count
Come up with a number of pages or chapters that are reasonable for you to read on a daily basis. I’m doing 10 pages or one chapter.
Read with Friends
I can’t commit to a full on book club, but I can read and chat with a friend or two. No schedules, just friends who can catch up and talk about the book they are reading at the same time.
Take your book on the go
Audio books are books too! If you spend a lot of time in your car this will be gold for you. After school car line, waiting on a grocery pickup, lunch break, – take advantage of these pockets of time.
My goal is not so much in numbers but rather in getting back to something that fills my cup while growing and learning along the way. So, let’s do this! Here’s a comprehensive list broken down by genre or category. Click each title to learn more about each book and let me know which ones you’ll be reading this year.
