30 Minute Daily Downtime Tips

When my boys were little they had what I called “quiet time” at the end of every day. For a minimum of 30 minutes each day, right before bed, we would turn the noise down (tv, toys, etc.) and do simple quiet things like reading, drawing or coloring. The time would end with prayers, quiet music, and a few minutes of back rubs. Simple right? This routine, most of the time, made for a seamless transition into a quiet night where they were quickly down to sleep and I was less stressed.

Many times those simple things are just what we need as adults! Are you with me? Self care should be an everyday thing and it can even be right in your own home everyday.
