The real challenge is staying with God. Feeling His love and his goodness when we can’t feel anything but pain. Remaining in His presence when you simply would rather hide. Creating something new in your life. It’s why we celebrate Christmas. Jesus came so that we can continuously create something new.
The truth is Thanksgiving is more than a season or a holiday that we observe at the end of November. It is a posture, a way in which we choose to live our lives…Let yourself off the hook for everything that 2020 is NOT and tap into what’s deeper than what we see on the surface. Happy Thanksgiving!
Society teaches us that we should be independent, self reliant, do it yourself people. Well, the world can’t be my teacher. It will always leave me disappointed. The one who can requires my eyes and my heart to be in a fixed position. Not a wandering gaze.
While I’ve spent many years chasing the dream instead of living it, this one is different. I am different. This isn’t just 40. This is my journey. The raw, real, unexpected, fun, fashionable, exciting, sometimes mundane, tearful, faith filled and faith tested life that I get to live!
Why is taking the first step so hard? I know I’m not the only member of the over think it crew out there. I am a thinker, a planner, and dare I say it – a perfectionist. I’m working on the last one, it serves no one well. Friends, the reality is, perfection is unattainable.
